I was going in another direction for this shot. I had everything setup and the camera on an intervelometer. The plan was to get the shot with me in a sitting position either drinking or starring down at the glass. After a good thirty minutes of chimping and not liking the results, I fired the camera off for one last set of photos. Getting tired I put my head down and the camera still had a couple more to fire off. Of the lot, this was the one I liked the most.
There's mud on the wall that hasn't been painted over yet. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it in the photo or go back and remove it. Personally it doesn't bother me and I kind of like it, but I could see others finding it distracting.
There's one small softbox to the right of the photo used to illuminate the scene. I really wanted the background a little darker but was feeling tired and didn't bother to use either my X100s which has a built in ND filter setting or running upstairs to grab my ND filters. Running in the snow of late has been kicking my ass; constantly tired with little motivation to do simple things.
