PWOContests.com announced an Asymmetrical challenge. I knew the image I was going to enter. Simple straight on portrait where you cut the face down the middle and mirror image both for symmetry. I have a crooked nose, skiing accident where I decided braking with my face was the best course of action, so I knew that was going to be a major difference between the two sides.
This was the first time indoors without using my SU-800 with my speedlights. I've always shot all my flash photography in full manual mode. It's not that I refuse to learn TTL, but I learnt doing full manual, and I'm pretty good at guessing the settings from the onset. The one think I'll miss though is changing the power levels from the SU-800, which normally resided on top of the camera. Now I have to walk to the speedlights individually..
