My entry for the album cover challenge at DPC. The challenge fell under the expert editing ruleset, the only one I detest. There's usually a good number of heavily edited photos which I feel fall outside the realm of photography and more in the digital art world. For the challenge you could either depict a current album cover or simply create your own. I wanted to keep it simple so I choose Miles Davis' Tutu.
A simple one flash setup up in front of my face with a Honl 1/8" grid thrown on the front to really contain the light. Some light editing to burn the ears out of the photo and spot removal of lightly lit areas. Looking at this photo I don't even recognize myself.
